Steven Tai 'Rock On' Top
Because I'm 25 on the outside and 85 on the inside
Canadian designer Steven Tai is your go-to guy for everything kitschy and cool. His AW16 collection was inspired by grandmothers, because who else masters comfortable, cosy dressing with a whisper of romance better than grandmas and their affinity for pearls, pastels, liberty prints, lace and cotton?
One of my favourite items from the collection is this 'Rock On' pale blue cotton top with delicate floral detail (look closer, there are flowers on the rocking chair). It's slouchy and perfect to pair with denim cutoffs or a calf-grazing metallic pleated skirt if I'm feeling particularly fancy. Also, the clever word-play on this top makes me laugh and I believe you should never say no to things that bring you joy.
