Armani celebrates 40th anniversary with social media project
A dedicated website and hashtag #ATribute offer fashion fans a chance to pay tribute to the brand's history
Giorgio Armani celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and has decided to do something special to mark the occasion.
This week the brand launched #ATribute, a 40-week project and hashtag which will focus on remembering and honouring the people, things and events that have made Armani what it is over the last four decades.
The main component of the project is a dedicated website, atribute.armani.com, which will feature a new theme every week for 40 weeks to pay tribute to different aspects of the brand's development and vision. These tributes will be made up of historical accounts as well as rare images and videos. The first tribute was launched together with the website, offering a brief history of Giorgio Armani himself and the first steps he took to enter the fashion industry.
Though Giorgio Armani's various social media networks, such as Facebook and Instagram, will contribute additional content to this website, the brand also welcomes posts from the public. Simply share your Armani tribute using the hashtag #ATribute to join the conversation or interact with the brand and other fans.
