Zuhair Murad talks about Sofia Vergara's wedding gown
The gown took 30 people and over 41 days to complete
Sofia Vergara tied the knot with partner Joe Manganiello on 23 November this year in a gorgeous Zuhair Murad heart-shaped sheath dress in silk tulle that came with a detachable skirt. The gown had a nipped waist with 3D motifs on the bodice as well as hand embroidered baroque arabesques.
According to WWD, the gown took a team of 30 people to make and more than 1,000 hours of work to complete. We gotta say all the hard work and effort was so worth it, just look at the masterpiece! Zuhair said Sofia wanted "to feel comfortable, to be able to dance and to have fun."
"It's a classical, modern and wedding gown – strapless, with a fitted embroidered bodice and a full skirt. She loved the design, the embroidery on the bodice, the sketches and the mermaid shape. You don't see the tone-on-tone-white until you see the dress and touch it. Everything was done perfectly," said Zuhair.
We wish we were there to see it in person! How magical it must feel to wear one of Zuhair's exquisite designs. Congrats again, Sofia!
