Exciting times! Omnipresent online retailer Zalora is finally dipping their toe into the design waters, and will be rolling out their very own inhouse label by the end of August. The label has been a long time in the works, and we got a firsthand look at the clothes before they hit the online store.

The womenswear is divided into three collections – Love ZALORA is for the young, fun and trend-led, with plenty of playful prints and flirty cuts. Classic sundresses, pretty daywear and cut-out bodycon dresses that only the young and nubile can get away with. Oh, and this amazing digital print bodycon number – the print was designed just for this dress, and the fabric is a gorgeous heavy stretch that masks stray lumps and bumps.

For working adults, there's ZALORA Collection for a lightly more stylish approach to corporate wear. We spotted a sharp white pantsuit and plenty of mix-and-match separates that you could definitely work outside the boardroom.

Our favourite is ZALORA Premium, with its pretty laces and heavy embellishments and luxe fabrics. We spotted a number of lace T-shirts for pairing with boyfriend jeans or midi skirts, and sleekly tailored neoprene tops with neat cocoon sleeves. And the dresses – so many dresses! Tailored tweed, laser-cut leather-look, pleated chiffon – all perfect for layering with the surprisingly good outerwear, including a very covetable biker jacket in metallic blue jacquard.

Of course, there are basics – T-shirts, dresses and playsuits in a range of colours and lengths, for filling out all those gaps in your wardrobe. And an excellent range of shoes and accessories, ranging from fashion-forward flats to classic pumps and the bags to match.

Get your first look at the range here, and keep your cursors at the ready for the big launch.
