We now know who will be going to the Met Gala

Did Karl Lagerfeld choose the Met Gala over his own show?

Since we first heard a few months ago that Chanel's 2016 Cruise collection would be shown in Seoul on May 4, the same day as Anna Wintour's Met Gala was being held in New York, we've been wondering how the fashion world's VIPs would decide between the events.

Now it seems we have our answer, because a list of Met Gala attendees has just surfaced on the Internet. As well as showing all the usual fashion names from all the big houses, the leaked list of VIPs who will be there includes Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter, Sienna Miller, Karlie Kloss, Julianne Moore, Dakota Johnson, Florence Welch, Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Vogue has confirmed that the list is legitimate, and it certainly seems that way as almost all of these names have been invited in the past too. Interestingly, Chanel girl Cara Delevingne is also there.

But the most intriguing name on the list? None other than Karl Lagerfeld himself. Mr Lagerfeld can do many things, but can he be in both Seoul and New York on the one day? Will he forego his own fashion show to attend the international fashion event of the year? We'll just have to wait and see come May 4.
