Chanel has just released two teasers of Once and Forever, a whimsical short where Karl Lagerfeld uses his creative filmmaker genius to tell the tale of Coco Chanel's life.

Kristen Stewart plays an actress brought in to portray Gabrielle Chanel in a biopic, so in a way it's a movie about a movie. In the context of a behind-the-scenes film, the movie portrays Mademoiselle Chanel in various stages of her life, including her twilight years, played by costar Geraldine Chaplin.

KStew was chosen by Karl amongst a pack of the maison's muses for the role. In the teasers we see her clad in ruffled Victorian blouses and exploding with anger, yelling at another actor on set "You call yourself a producer?". The actress oozes a hot-tempered, fiery cool, a major departure from the detached aloofness she's been typecast for since Twilight. Karl vouches for her acting chops. “She gives the right emotion and the right intensity immediately so it’s very easy to work her, like it’s easy to work with Geraldine," Karl told WWD.

The full 11-minute film will be released 1 December on Chanel.com, in conjunction with Chanel's Métiers d'art collection presentation in Rome. Watch the teasers below.
