Vivienne Westwood gives Virgin Atlantic uniforms a sharp makeover
Virgin Atlantic's crew are going to make their passengers feel underdressed with their new uniforms, designed by Vivienne Westwood
Smiling, friendly, beautiful men and women serving you onboard a flight, wearing Vivienne Westwood – sounds like anyone's customer service dream, doesn't it? You'll be wanting to fly Virgin Atlantic more often (or just sign up as a crew member) knowing that the renowned British fashion designer has revamped the airline's uniforms and given them a sexy-chic twist.
The collection was launched last night in East London, flaunting the airline's iconic red on the female cabin crew's jackets, skirts, and shoes. Nipped in waists create flattering silhouettes, which are also replicated in the female pilot's uniform.
Now, you'll forgive us if we swoon a little over the male cabin crew's uniforms, which to be honest, you wouldn't suspect were uniforms at all. A suave burgundy suit worn over a grey waistcoat with a red tie and white shirt make up a razor-sharp look for the men. The male pilot's uniform was also made similar to the tailoring of the male cabin crew's suit, except it looks – ahem – fiercer.
Oh, did we mention both male and female crew members have travel coats too? If this doesn't call for high altitude fashion fever, we don't know what will.
