Uniqlo collaborates with former Hermès artistic director

Ex Hermès designer Christophe Lemaire is designing a capsule collection for Uniqlo

After a successful four-year stint as artistic director of Hermès womenswear, Christophe Lemaire moved on to focus on his eponymous label, Lemaire, with co-designer Sarah Linh-Tran. (See their AW15 Paris Fashion Week show here.) But now there's news that he will also create a capsule collection for mega-retailer Uniqlo, which is scheduled to launch this autumn. 

We’ve been fans of Uniqlo’s collaboration with Inès de la Fressange and we absolutely can’t wait to see what they will come up with, considering Christophe’s high fashion pedigree and Uniqlo's status as a favourite destination for affordable, good-quality basics.
