Under Armour taps Gisele BŁndchen for their 'I Will What I Want' campaign
Looks like the Brazilian model and yoga enthusiast has a new set of yoga clothes
[Updated 5 September 2014] Clearly, Under Armour knew what was coming when they tapped a model to be in their I Will What I Want campaign, which usually features real athletes.
The new campaign video has Gisele BŁndchen letting off steam on a punching bag as negative comments are projected on the walls around her. These include "Is modelling now a sport?" and "Way too skinny". However, she also receives praise as kind words like "Bravo! Gisele can do anything" and "She's a mother and an inspiration" stand out among the criticism.
Going back to the point about "I Will What I Want", we can't help but feel a little rush of justification for her when the slogan pops up at the end. Gisele is here to make a stand, haters, and she is not just a model.
Already the highest paid model for eight consecutive years in the world right now ($47 million just for this year), the Brazilian beauty has tapped another label and this time it's American sports apparel, Under Armour, for their 'I Will What I Want' campaign for women.
The Baltimore-based apparel has released a 30-second teaser of Gisele Bündchen stretching and gearing up in Under Armour workout clothes before hitting the 'I Will What I Want' tagline. Under Armour will be releasing more videos with the model on September 4.
Gisele joins skier Lindsey Vonn, tennis player Sloane Stephens and ballerina Misty Copeland in the Under Armour campaign.
But Gisele isn't the only one whose name is under Under Armour. Back in 2010, Gisele's husband, NFL New England Patriots star quarterback, Tom Brady, also signed an endorsement deal with the sport apparel. Looks like Under Armour is keeping it within the Bündchen-Brady family.
