Tibi pleated flat sandals
Monotone slides to the left please. This pretty blue pair is the one I need

Let me preface this by making it clear that I'm a huge fan of slides. How could I not be? They're cool (quite literally), comfy, fuss-free and have that magical ability to elevate just about any outfit into chic territory. But after coming across one too many black and white single strap and cross strap variations (that all tend to come from one particular high street brand that we all love to shop at; props if you know what I'm on about), I've been put-off enough to not hop onto the monotone bandwagon, despite wanting to try on the trend myself.
That was until I met the slides of my dreams. This perfect, dusty blue pair with its elegant origami pleats (can you say work-of-art?) might just be the pair to break my no slides streak and make me take the jump. At over a thousand ringgit, they're definitely no affordable high-street alternative, but I like to think of it as an investment piece – one that will definitely last me through the years and beyond any trend-dictated season. And while my wallet may hate me for it, I know my feet, wardrobe and heart will thank me. Good enough.
