You can now shop vintage Comme des Garçons pieces on Farfetch
Taken from Australian collector Octavius la Rosa's carefully curated collection
Melbourne-based collector Octavius la Rosa is a diehard fan of Comme des Garçons and his boutique Dot COMME is proof of it. His love for Rei Kawakubo's avant-garde pieces – an interest he's developed since he was 18 – grew into an extensive collection of archival Comme pieces. And now, he's released a unique selection to be shopped on Farfetch.
"I'm from Melbourne, Australia, and I've been collecting clothes, with a focus on Comme des Garçons, for about 10 years now!" Octavius told Farfetch. "I've been running my business, dot COMME, for 5 years, and I've had a physical shop here in Melbourne for 3 years, selling mostly archival Comme des Garçons."
"I've got many pieces from the very beginning – around 1975. Also an extensive archive [from the] 80s. The most famous are some padded pieces from SS97, and a number of the 2D show pieces from AW12," Octavius said. "To me, it's my hobby and passion. I don't think I could function if I stopped collecting."
