It’s a testament to the fast-moving world of fashion that what was once seen as the odd couple of collaborations is now an established and respected series of collections. Liberty has done some beautiful collaborations in its time, but none are as hotly anticipated as the Nike collections.

The new Nike & Liberty collection will launch online and instore at Liberty London on April 7, and this time the design team have confined themselves to an all-blue palette (with a couple of beige accents, just to mix things up). The three Liberty prints in focus are Anoosha, a 1930s blossom and bell flower number; Lora, a 1970s version of the classic William Morris ‘Willow’ pattern’; and Crown, a lovely paisley print from the house’s Merton print works.

These prints will feature on Nike’s Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Roshe Run and, for the first time, the sleek vintage-style Internationalist. There’s also an extremely pared back collection of shorts and hoodies, for the full Nike X Liberty experience.
