Eight designers have now been chosen from 16 shortlisted candidates in this year's LVMH Prize. The finalists stand a chance to win €300,000 and a one-year LVMH mentorship, but not before they do a presentation to a rather intimidating jury that includes the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Phoebe Philo and Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, Delphine Arnault on May 22 at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris.

The candidates include Milan-based Austrian designer Arthur Arbesser, a womenswear brand by French designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant called Coperni, British designer Craig Green, London-based label Faustine Steinmetz, Simon Porte Jacquemus' Parisian label Jacquemus, London-based Marques'Almeida by Portuguese designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, Vetements by Paris-based German designer Demna Gvasali and Off-White by Milan-based American designer Virgil Abloh.
