The CFDA Fashion Awards are one of our favourite red carpet events but of course, the award ceremony itself offers a lot to be excited about. Ahead of the event on 5 June 2017 in New York, the Council has announced the names of the designers in the running for the coveted awards, with a few changes to the categories.

For the first time, the CFDA's Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent will combine the previously separate womenswear, menswear and accessory design categories. The Swarovski Award for Positive Change was also introduced to celebrate an American designer who has made a positive impact on the welfare of the community.
