If we find it frustrating enough when the power blacks out for a few hours, we can't imagine the difficulties faced by those who are completely deprived of electricity. Recognising that more than one billion people in the world are denied access to safe and reliable electricity, TOMS has launched a line of Apple Watch bands to help improve the electricity situation of those in need.

This time, the brand known for its social initiatives is partnering with SolarAid and Solar Sister, so every purchase from the collection will benefit both charities. SolarAid is an international body that fights poverty and climate change in rural regions in the world, while Solar Sister works to empower women through economic opportunities in order to bring clean energy technology to impoverished countries in Africa.

Every purchase of a TOMS for Apple Watch band helps to provide one year of solar light to a person in need, continuing its One for One tradition (quick refresher: TOMS donates a pair of shoes for every pair of TOMS shoes purchased).

TOMS offers two types of straps. The Utility Collection (RM259 each) consists of grosgrain fabric straps in various colours, each as versatile as the next. The Artisan Collection (RM359 each) has woven fabric on leather straps that take cues from the many friendship bracelets owned by TOMS founder, Blake Mycoskie. Each band is etched with the words 'Give Time', and features genuine leather detailing and a stainless steel buckle.
