Streaker At Prabal Gurung's AW14 Show

The notorious Vitalii Sediuk shocks New York Fashion Week

Ukrainian reporter and prankster Vitalii Sediuk is certainly making more headlines for himself than for the stories he’s supposed to be covering. His most recent antic saw him streaking down Prabal Gurung’s AW14 catwalk at New York Fashion Week, dressed in nothing more than a black coat, a skimpy thong, red socks and a faux gold crown.

As the models strutted down the runway in Prabal Gunung’s latest fashionable offerings, Sediuk snuck onstage in between the models, flashing a bare bottom at the audience. Security ran up to catch him, engaging him in an ad-hoc game of tag, skirting between the models. In a quick about-turn, the cheeky Sidiuk ran down the other side of the catwalk, opening up his coat to reveal, well, everything, save a tiny thong.

In the spirit of celebrating risks and creative expression, designer Prabal Gurung reacted to this little interruption with plenty of good humour. The show must go on, after all. Note too, the utterly unfazed composure of the models as they kept calm and carried on right through the ruckus happening around them.

This isn’t the first of Sediuk's japes. He's become known for his alarming stunts on unsuspecting A-list celebs at high-profile events. He’s tried to kiss Will Smith on the red carpet, publicly hugged Bradley Cooper’s thighs, offered Madonna her most hated flowers and unceremoniously gatecrashed the Grammy’s as Adele was collecting her award. How he comes up with these ideas is beyond us, but they’re harmless enough and we love that he injects a little humour into proceedings to keep us all from taking things too seriously.
