After 15 years at Sass & Bide, founders Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke are leaving the brand. It's been a long time since the two entered the fashion world, selling jeans at a Portobello Market stall in 1999 and to those who've been following developments at Sass & Bide, the change can't come as much of a surprise. In 2011 the two sold 65% of their share in the brand and last year gave up their remaining share in the ownership, but stayed as creative directors.

"Both Heidi and Sarah-Jane have been slowly transitioning out of the business, and it has now reached a point where both girls feel confident that the business will go on to grow and thrive without their day-to-day involvement," Sass & Bide said in a statement.

Anthony Cuthbertson, formerly a design consultant for Victoria Beckham and Mulberry, will take over as design director.
