Just when news of the holy grail of collaborations, Alexander Wang x H&M rocked our weekend, it was announced that Roland Mouret will be designing a 20-something-piece collection for Banana Republic. The limited edition line will launch in August this year.

Roland, who is famous for his fitted silhouettes, had been very interested in working with the high-street chain's signature Sloan fabric – a contour stretch material. Can we expect gorgeous bodycon numbers like the famed Galaxy dress Roland debuted in 2006? We hope so. There's already a sneak peek going around.

However, the French fashion designer maintains that his Banana Republic collection won't be "a copy of my clothes in a less expensive [version], but the experience of a fitted dress for the Banana Republic customer."

This is the American clothing brand's first collaboration of 2014, having previously worked with L'Wren Scott last year on her first high-street collection that was released in December.

What a week for high street collaboration. So who's next?
