Rodarte founders to direct a feature film
Kirsten Dunst is to star in Kate and Laura Mulleavy's first movie, 'Woodshock'
Watch out, Tom Ford. Rodarte founders Kate and Laura Mulleavy are bringing a screenplay they've had in the works to the silver screen. What's more, they are also getting into the director's chairs for Woodshock, their first feature film. The fashion designers' close friend Kirsten Dunst is set to star, but the plot details are still unknown.
The film will be promoted to international buyers at the Cannes Film Market this week. Ex Machina distributor A24 has already picked up the US theatrical rights to Woodshock, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Woodshock isn't Kate and Laura's first venture into the film industry. The sisters designed the stunning black-and-white swan costumes that Natalie Portman wore in 2010's Oscar-winning Black Swan.
