Raf Simons and Adidas to launch AW16 footwear collection

It's the Stan Smith like you've never seen before

Adidas and Raf Simons are back with two new AW16 styles: the Raf Simons Stan Smith Comfort and the Raf Simons Matrix Spirit. There are no outlandish sneakers and gaudy colour combinations that recall previous collaborations between the two. It's just the fashion staples we're all familiar with, reworked by the man who now heads the Calvin Klein design house.

The Comfort shoe resembles the classic Stan Smith, except it has three Velcro straps instead of laces and a perforated "R" on its side. Simons went a step further and made the shoes in an array of unlikely colour combinations. Get used to silver and ivory, purple and beige, navy and cream, and black and teal before you shop. The silhouette is also available with laces, but those come in limited colour options: red, white and black.

The Matrix Spirit shoe comes in two styles – high tops and low tops – with a canvas top and contrast laces that boast an 80s edge, available in bright colours as well as the staple monochrome.

The collection is expected to be released later this summer at select retailers, including Ssense.com, which ships to Malaysia. Fingers crossed there isn't a limited shipping destination list for the collection.
