[Updated February 6] The documentary is now live on fendi.com.

French filmmaker Loic Prigent has an exclusive look into Fendi in his new film Inside The Mothership. The 15-minute documentary centres around Fendi Day in Milan, September 19 2013, following Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Venturini Fendi, CEO Pietro Beccari, Delfina Delettrez Fendi and stylist Charlotte Stockdale as they manage fittings, castings, show-time and the new boutique and exhibition.

Special moments include sneak peeks at fittings, castings and clothes – look out for the stunning crystal-covered bustier dress that took over 300 hours of workmanship. Cara Delevingne makes an appearance, joking with Karl Lagerfeld and fooling around on set. The Kaiser also shares insights behind the designs and the new technology involved in the collection.
