Philipp Plein to dress Floyd Mayweather for highly anticipated fight with Conor McGregor
Meanwhile, Conor McGregor has Donatella Versace in his corner
The most anticipated fight of the year just got a whole lot more fashionable. For the upcoming face-off this Sunday, boxers Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor's individual styles are getting designer updates.
Earlier today, Philipp Plein announced a collaboration with Mayweather, which will officially launch at the fight this weekend. According to WWD, the American boxer will enter the ring in a custom Philipp Plein boxing robe and trunks.
This partnership seems fitting with both Plein and Mayweather having an affinity for flashy, embellished designs. Seeing as the boxer's nickname is 'Money', we're expecting lots of gold, silver and dollar signs.
On the opposite end, McGregor fans need not worry about their main man as the UFC champion has the support of the legendary Donatella Versace. The designer gifted the fashionable Irish MMA fighter with a custom Versace robe, complete with 'MCGREGOR THE NOTORIUS' embellished on the back in gold.
Fighting aside, it looks like the McGregor-Mayweather meet will be a fashion face-off for the ages.
