Peter Dundas debuts his eponymous label
The leading designer showcased rock-and-roll extravagance during Paris Haute Couture week
Peter Dundas is wearing his creative director hat again, this time for his very own label. Dundas, who has previously spearheaded fashion houses like Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci and Emanuel Ungaro, teamed up with his partner Evangelo Bousis to create a label that's synonymous with edgy, rocker chic. Cool girl Georgia May Jagger was among those chosen to walk in his show.
Oversized T-shirt dresses and bright pink numbers were introduced alongside bohemian kaftans and glittery gowns, with nary a sequin or sparkle missing.
"There's definitely a sensuality to it, a joy of life. An element of glamour, of freedom, of rebelliousness. Confidence," Dundas wrote on the label's Instagram page. In other words, the Dundas woman is unapologetically OTT and we expect a certain Kardashian to be rocking one of these looks soon.
Dundas's debut line is a cruise collection, but according to WWD, he will not be sticking to the traditional fashion calendar. Instead, Dundas plans to partner with retailers for exclusive capsule collections and sell his designs online.
The Dundas debut collection launches 7 July 2017 exclusively on Moda Operandi, with a partnership with Farfetch slated for later in the year.
