Olivia Palermo wants to start her own fashion house
The stylish New Yorker is considering launching her own fashion label
Ah, Olivia Palermo. The It-girl at every fashion week, the front row regular and favourite of street style photographers. The socialite's immaculate style has been well-documented over the years and we've often wondered why she's never started her own label. Well, she's planning to.
"I would love to start my own fashion house, but it's not the right time," Olivia told The Edit. "I feel like I can do it in stages, and when the timing is right to do it, then I will."
Recently, Olivia dipped her toe in the water when she collaborated with Aquazzura for a shoe collection that was sold on Net-A-Porter. The shoe collection included six designs from bejeweled sandals to thigh high boot.
She also channelled her creativity last Summer into eyewear design when Westward Leaning tapped her for a capsule collection, exclusively available on Olivia's official website. The collection consists of eight styles of sunglasses.
With shoe and eyewear design under her belt, it looks like Olivia will have no problem for designing clothes in the near future. The only question is; when? Because we would totally consider swiping our credit cards when she does.
