The designer wins the Cooper-Hewitt Fashion Design award

Congratulations, Narciso Rodriguez! It’s been announced that the designer will receive the Cooper-Hewitt Fashion Design award, as part of the National Design Awards. Previous winners include Behnaz Sarafpour, Thom Browne, Rick Owens and Tom Ford.

“At this stage in my career, to be recognised with this award is really moving to me,” Narciso told WWD. “My work is my life and so much of my life has been my work.”

The National Design Awards recognise excellence in all areas of design, including architecture, communication and product design. The ceremony will occur later in the year.
