Online fashion retailer Mytheresa has collaborated with Balenciaga to come up with a fashion short called Une Incroyable Excuse which means An Incredible Excuse in English.

Directed by Danny Sangra and filmed at Caviar Kaspia in Paris, the film is a two-minute feature of three young French ladies who meet up for lunch. However, one of the girls called Polly, is late for their meeting. When she finally turns up and is confronted by her peeved girlfriend, Polly explains her tardiness is because of her discovery of a portal inside her handbag (incredible excuse indeed!).

According to WWD, the three characters are sporting exclusive looks from Balenciaga's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection which is now available on Mytheresa.

"The idea of this industry being fun is something I feel strongly about, and that was the starting point behind the choice of director, Mr Danny Sangra, for this cinematic project," said Justin O'Shea, Mytheresa's buying director.

"Set in one of Paris' most renowned culinary haunts, Caviar Kaspia, and contrasted with the refined, strict elegance of Balenciaga's fall 2015 collection, the film highlights how fashion can be humourous without losing its glamorous egde," he added.
