Moto Guo is an LVMH Prize semifinalist

The designer is the first ever Malaysian to be shortlisted for the prestigious award

Moto Guo is making Malaysia proud; it was announced yesterday the designer is one of the LVMH Prize semifinalists for this year.

He and 22 other designers from all over the world will go through another screening process in March 2016, during Paris Fashion Week. The 23 semifinalists will be narrowed down to eight by 41 industry professionals including LVMH Prize panel newcomer Karlie Kloss, before one winner is selected by the LVMH Prize jury on 16 June at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

The LVMH Prize is open to designers under 40 who have produced at least two collections. The winner will be given €300,000 (approx. RM1,387,825) as well as technical and financial support from LVMH to develop his or her brand for 12 months after receiving the prize.
