[Updated 20 November 2014] For now, the InstaKors service is only available for US residents. Fingers crossed we get the same luxury on this side of the globe soon.

Hot on the heels of Michael Kors' makeup-inspired tech accessories is a new interactive shopping feature that links to Instagram (obviously). Named InstaKors, this online facility makes it easier for Instagrammers to identify and shop products featured on select Instagram posts.

Register your email address and Instagram handle to get in on the experience. From then on, every time you like a shoppable post (made distinct by the #InstaKors hashtag) on the brand's Instagram feed, you will receive a personalised email with direct links to products featured in that post.

The concept is simple, yet so essential when it comes to bridging the way we shop and the way we communicate on social media. The designer continues to embrace modern technology, allowing his luxury label to run parallel to the current digital atmosphere.

"I've said it before, but we really do live in a selfie world," Michael said. "Everyone is on Instagram. It's inspirational, aspirational, and now, with #InstaKors, it's attainable. If fashion is a reflection of the world we live in, Instagram is the three-way mirror."
