Melissa partners with Jeremy Scott
The two will unveil their latest shoe collaboration on the runway tomorrow
Brazilian footwear brand Melissa has announced its collaboration with Moschino creative head Jeremy Scott to create two styles of plastic shoes that will debut on the runway at Jeremy's eponymous New York Fashion Week show tomorrow.
The two have designed an ankle boot and a mule; the latter will be available in Melissa "Galeria" stores in New York, London and Sao Paolo the day after the show. The shoes can also be found at Colette stores in Paris, 10 Corso Como stores in Milan and Alchemist stores in Miami. Fingers crossed the shoes will reach Malaysian stores soon, too.
"I am so excited to have the chance to collaborate with Melissa! I'm a fan of the fun that they put into footwear and I'm honoured to be included in the long line of great fashion designers that they have collaborated with over the past 44 years," Jeremy said in a statement. "It's been a joy to watch my ideas become translated by their expert team and to be able to bring to life designs that are not only high fashion, but affordable too."
Jeremy joins other designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul-Gaultier, who have collaborated with Melissa on capsule collections.
Stay tuned for more coverage of New York Fashion Week runway shows, Jeremy's included.
