These are the two Malaysian models competing in 'Asia's Next Top Model'
Alicia Amin and Shikin Gomez will represent Malaysia in the new cycle
Representing our country in the next cycle of Asia's Next Top Model are Alicia Amin and Shikin Gomez! The two girls will join 12 other contestants from countries like Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand to compete for the Top Model spot.
Alicia, 22, considers herself a wild child. She picked up modelling while working in Melbourne and Malaysia as a bartender. Her favourite designers include Malaysian designer Afiq M, and she dreams of becoming a humanitarian rights lawyer if modelling doesn't work out.
Shikin, a familiar face to Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week regulars, comes from a more conservative family and wants to challenge her traditional upbringing. Being a contestant in Asia's Next Top Model is a huge opportunity for the 24-year-old to break the mould. She's a big fan of Jeremy Scott and is terrified of heights and cockroaches (you're not alone, Shikin!).
Cycle five of the modelling reality TV series will be judged by host Cindy Bishop, fashion and celebrity photographer Yu Tsai, model mentor Cara Grogan and former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. The show premieres on StarWorld, Astro channel 711 and 722 HD on 5 April 2017.
