Marion Cotillard embodies French insouciance in new Lady Dior campaign
Your first look at the behind-the-scenes video
The latest Autumn 2016 Lady Dior campaign has a very nonchalant-looking Marion Cotillard strolling down the banks of the Seine, near the Louvre. Clutching the iconic bags, sauntering around the streets of Paris, her curly hair and understated, fresh-faced makeup make her the picture of an insouciant, cool Parisienne.
The campaign is lensed by Peter Lindbergh, who also shot four of 15 other Dior campaigns with Marion. One of the Lady Dior bags are in black leather, topstitched with the cannage motif, with a wide strap adorned with crystals. The other is a metallic version with a micro-cannage embossed pattern, a spin on the iconic Dior canework motif drawn from Napoleon III chairs.
The laid-back, relaxed mood of the new campaign is a fresh change from previous campaigns where Marion smouldered in smoky eyes and deep red lipstick. Either way, she never fails to embody the codes of the French maison. Watch the behind-the-scenes video below.
