You are the designer of these Marc Jacobs x Vans shoes
See how artists from across the globe gave their own spin to the limited-edition sneakers
The designer teamed up with the shoe company to create an edgy version of the classic slip-on shoe, featuring a graphic pattern by artist (and frequent Marc Jacobs collaborator) Julie Verhoeven. The black-and-white print acts as the perfect base for you to add your own personal designs, which can be done with the set of Marc Jacobs x Sharpie pens that come with every purchase of the limited-edition footwear.
Before you start running to the nearest Vans store, here's the catch: the Marc Jacobs x Vans slip-ons will be released this 16 June 2017 but only in Japan and New York City stores. While that does put a slight damper in your shopping plans, we recommend reaching out to loved ones overseas (that's what friends are for, right?) or using personal shopping services like ShopandBox. With a reported 125 pairs available for sale, this is one limited-edition collaboration you don't want to miss out on.
In case you need some design inspiration, Marc Jacobs and Vans worked with 17 artists across the globe to put their own creative spin on the shoe. Our favourites: Marc Jacobs' coloured-in black-and-red pair, makeup artist Sarah Tanno's beauty patchwork design and New York arist Milk's wacky push pin creation.
