Manolo Blahnik to open its first Malaysian store
Finally! Fashion editors' favourite shoe label is coming to Pavilion KL this autumn
Our Sex and the City dreams are about to come true: Manolo Blahnik, the shoe designers' shoe designer, will open a new store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur this year, its first in Malaysia. Footwear News reports that the 1,022 square-feet store will open this autumn.
The opening is part of an Asia expansion plan that also includes the refurbishment of its Singapore store, currently at Takashimaya, as well as the launch of a flagship store in Tokyo next year. The brand is working with luxury importer Bluebell on the projects.
"Manolo Blahnik is a global brand, but with comparatively small distribution in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore," Manolo Blahnik International CEO Kristina Blahnik said. "With Bluebell now as our partners, we are excited about exploring and building the business in these regions and further territories. I have trust in their guidance and experience, and appreciate their company family values that resonate with our own."
