Madonna teams up with Gucci for Rebel Heart tour costumes
She'll also be 'vogue'-ing in Alexander Wang and Jeremy Scott
Madonna, ever the perfectionist, has been known to employ only the most excellent designers for her tours. Past tours have included designs from Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Christian Lacroix, Riccardo Tisci, not to mention Giorgio Armani, who created the infamous cape responsible for the pop-star's Brit Awards fall.
For her upcoming Rebel Heart tour, which opens in Montreal on 9 September, Madonna has chosen to go for a rather eclectic mix of designers, comprised of the young (Alexander Wang), the fun (Jeremy Scott), the new (Alessandro Michele of Gucci) and the (other) Italians (Fausto Puglisi, Prada and Miu Miu). Another designer that made the cut is Lebanon-born Nicolas Jebran, who designed the $10,000 (approx. RM41,000) Swarovski-encrusted dress Kylie Jenner wore to her recent 18th birthday.
The 56-year-old Ghosttown singer has been sharing sneak peeks of her costumes on Instagram, and we predict a riotous array of colourful costumes coming our way. A fan of music and fashion? Better start booking those tickets (nearest leg for us Malaysia-dwellers is in the Philippines on 24 February 2016).
