Powerful and timeless: Now here's what we call a campaign

Versace has shared an initial look at their SS2015 campaign featuring Madonna on its Instagram account and we have to say, it's looking pretty damn slick.

Shot by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (who also shot Madonna's recent racy spread for Interview magazine), the black and white ads "capture the unapologetic and timeless power of Madonna," says Versace.

Donatella Versace herself considers Madonna "one of the true icons of Versace" and said she is"thrilled to have my friend and the most powerful directional artist as the face of Versace for Spring 2015."

It may be a far cry from the more provocative images we have come to know and love Madonna for, but these new photos are only evidence of her ability to continuously reinvent herself over the decades. Therein lies her timeless power.
