Professor Louise Wilson, who played an influential role in educating numerous noted fashion designers, including Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, and Marios Schwab, passed away on 17 May.

Her family released a statement to thank well-wishers and added that "a fund to honour Professor Louise Wilson's profound belief in access to fashion education is to be announced in due course."

Louise was the course director of the Central Saint Martins' MA in Fashion course from 1992 until her death. While a private family funeral will be held in Scotland, a memorial will be arranged in London later this year to celebrate her life and many achievements.
