For the first time, Louis Vuitton is getting its hands in the international rugby scene. The luxury brand created a monogrammed trunk for the Webb Ellis Cup, which will be awarded to the winner of the Rugby World Cup at the 31 October finals in England.

WWD reports that the Asnières workshop that made this case also made one that held the America's Cup (a silver ewer also known as the Auld Mug), which is the world's oldest sports trophy. You'll also remember that Louis Vuitton made the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy case, which Gisele Bündchen presented at the finals in Rio de Janeiro.

If only our old trophies from school had the same honour.
