Lottie Moss is Bulgari's new accessories ambassador
The luxury house announces its new ambassador as it celebrates the completion of its Spanish Steps restoration project
In just a span of a few days, Bulgari is on headlines around the world, with the first of which being its appointment of Kate Moss' younger sister, Lottie Moss, as its newest accessories ambassador for next season.
Lottie's new role won't involve an ad campaign, but it will nonetheless mark a big step in her modelling career. Her work with Bulgari will be one of her first for a high-end luxury label after having worked with Calvin Klein, PacSun, Adidas Originals and Tommy Hilfiger.
Bulgari is, secondly, also in the news for the completion of restoration works on Rome's Spanish Steps, after having spent €1.5 million (approx. RM7 million) on it. The restoration was paid for by Bulgari to celebrate its 130th anniversary last year, with the aim of rehabilitating Italian artistic heritage and for the enjoyment of locals and tourists alike. Italian luxury houses Fendi and Tod's also sponsored restoration works on Trevi Fountain and Colosseum respectively (Trevi Fountain was completed last year, and the Colosseum earlier in July).
The reopening of the Spanish Steps was celebrated with a music and light show hosted by Bulgari. Swedish actress Alicia Vikander and Taiwanese personality Aimee Sun were among those who attended the event.
Returned in their immense splendor, the Spanish Steps can once again be enjoyed to their full by the citizens and tourists. The work, started on 7 October 2015, focussed on cleaning, consolidating and protecting all the stone surfaces, including the functional restoration of the steps to ensure that they are safe to use.
