Barrie Knitwear, a Hawick, Scotland-based cashmere label acquired by Chanel in 2012 will launch its first ready-to-wear collection for Fall 2014, with actress Lily Collins as its ambassador.

The Mirror Mirror star posed for Karl Lagerfeld in knits we would love to feel and wear and snuggle in ourselves. What Malaysian weather?

For years, Barrie Knitwear has manufactured knitwear for a number of luxury houses. Chanel saved all 176 knitting jobs when it bought over the brand in 2012 in an effort to preserve speciality atelier companies. Its upcoming first own-label collection is part of a revamp that Chanel fashion president Bruno Pavlovsky said "is not a one-year development, it is 20 years or more. This is the beginning of something."

With Lily as their first face and what promises to be a gorgeous 20-silhouette line, we think this is a very beautiful beginning. The first Barrie store will reportedly open on 15 June in Paris.
