Video: Dior

There's something unbelievable about couture – it seems like an anachronism, a throwback to pre-mass production days, where everything was painstakingly handmade. This is never more evident than when we see artisans at work in couture ateliers, and Dior has permitted us a 90-second glimpse at that world in their new video. A mini couture dress, based on a design from 1949, is constructed from start to finish, including hand cutting and pressing hundreds of tiny, beautiful flowers. Called Le Petit Théâtre Dior, it's a fascinating (and strangely satisfying) look at the world of couture.
