Kristen Stewart channels her grungy side for Chanel
Fun Americana theme or not, the new face of Chanel sulks fashionably while posing for the Paris Dallas campaign
Photos from the Chanel Métiers d'Art collection campaign, starring Kristen Stewart and her nonchalant pout have finally been released. With Karl Lagerfeld clearly favouring classy-rebellious ladies – hi Kendall, Cara, and Keira – no one was surprised at his decision with the Twilight star for his Pre-Fall 2014 looks.
Well, no one except Kristen herself. "Typically I wouldn't see myself as being the quintessential face of Chanel with the pearls and the classics but I liked stepping into that role and this suits me a little bit more than past collections because it is very American," she said in an interview. Karl chose well then.
Gushing about the designer, Kristen said, "He is a true renaissance man, one of the greatest artists of our time."
The 24-year-old actress wears lots of fringe, bandanas, ponchos, and cornrows in her hair; all while looking incredibly high-fashion in the photos. Maybe it's that eternal glowering look she has that adds to the fierce factor – we may want to start practicing it in the mirror alongside the smize and squinch.
