Kate Spade returns to fashion with a shoe collection
The designer's new collection will not be under her namesake brand
It's been eight years since Kate Spade and husband Andy Spade left the Kate Spade and Jack Spade brands, and the designer is now making a return to fashion. The 52-year-old is working on an accessories collection, focusing on shoes and a few handbags, but it is unlikely to be under her eponymous brand, which she sold to Liz Claiborne Inc. in 2007.
"I've spent the last eight years raising my daughter and being a consumer," she told WWD. "It's exciting to be back at work."
Kate is yet to decide the name of her new label but we're looking forward to seeing how she makes her comeback.
