Karl Lagerfeld isn't the sort of man who would surround himself with big, grizzly bouncers. You would expect Lagerfeld's bodyguard to be svelte and stylish and incredibly well groomed, right?

And so he is. Meet Sébastien Jondeau, the beautiful brawn who is not only very serious about "preventing surprises" and "really likes to fight", but has been personally selected by the designer as the face of the Lagerfeld collection.

In case you're wondering how it is that a bodyguard manages to stir up as much of a frenzy in Lagerfeld fans as Lagerfeld's creations do, Sébastien has prepared a handy video guide: How to be the perfect Karl Lagerfeld bodyguard in 10 steps.

Heed his very pragmatic advice – "Practise one combat sport… But keep your face in tact" and "The boss is the boss". But more important, perhaps, is the fact that if you're anywhere within Lagerfeld's radius it is your style file, not your strength, that will afford you the best protection. Sébastian has valuable advice for that too: "Put some cream on" and "Always have a hairdresser ready", among other gems.

Bonus gratuitous shots of Sébastian in a cool jacket, Sébastian getting his photo taken (by Lagerfeld), Sébastian in his boxers…

Sorry, what was that about surprises?
