Jonathan Liang has just released the lookbook for his Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, and it’s inspired by space travel. In the label’s own words, it’s a collection of space suits, but chic, perfectly cut and layered space suits that you could wear to work.

“The inspiration of this cosmonaut became a huge point of reference to me,” said Jonathan. “The idea of  going into space and being surrounded by wonder – among forming  nebulae and uncharted beauty – just like our woman represented  within this collection.”

The collection features Jonathan’s signature layering of textures and silhouettes, but in more utilitarian shapes than before: boxy blouses, straight-cut trousers and structured jackets. These aren’t without their hints of playfulness though, featuring as they do alongside kicky knife pleats, asymmetrical skirts and organza panels. The clothes are grounded by special Nelissa Hilman styles with squared off heels. View the whole collection here.

If you can’t wait until autumn, Jonathan will be showcasing his first premier collection for Dude & The Duchess in June at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week.
