You can wear Jeff Koons' Balloon Dog on a bag

The artist has designed a special edition bag for H&M

Ah, H&M. Always finding wily ways to part us from our money. This time they've called in the big guns, by way of heavyhitting artist Jeff Koons. Jeff Koons is no stranger to the collaboration – he's lent his work to Kiehl's collections before, but a tie-up with the high-street brand is not one we'd ever have predicted. According to WWD, Koons has designed a special handbag for H&M, to commemorate the opening of their huge new Fifth Avenue flagship. The bag in question is a simple black (leather? Leather-look?) flap, printed with an image of Koons' famous Yellow Balloon Dog.

The bag will go on sale online and in store in the US on July 17, and the Fifth Avenue storefront will be covered by a huge image of Yellow Balloon Dog, captioned with 'Fashion Loves Art'. And to prove their love, H&M will also be sponsoring Koons' retrospective at the Whitney Museum of Art where, conveniently, you'll also be able to buy the bag.

Time to work those New York connections, guys. It's okay, it's art.
