J.Crew and Net-a-Porter team up for a Breton stripe-inspired collection
Jenna Lyons perfects all the striped looks we could ever want
J.Crew and Net-a-Porter have worked together to come up with an entire wardrobe of striped pieces, basically making our Breton stripe dreams come true. The Breton stripe is historically associated with the navy uniform of French sailors and was made popular in fashion by Coco Chanel in 1917. It has since become synonymous with J.Crew season after season.
The J.Crew and Net-a-Porter capsule collection consists of 25 pieces, including blouses, dresses, skirts, jackets, coats, sneakers and a faux fur scarf. Each piece honours the Breton stripe and keeps the colour palette simple, so we should have no problem mixing and matching across the collection or with our existing wardrobes. For those who want a little playfulness, there are polkadots and sequined French bulldog patterns to be had.
J.Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons described the partnership with Net-a-Porter as "extremely fun" and hinted that the collection will have "tradition and surprise."
The J.Crew x Net-a-Porter collection is available now at Net-a-Porter.com (they're the ones marked "exclusive").
