Instagram is set to launch 'shop now' button

Users can soon buy items on the photo-sharing app

Photo-sharing app Instagram has just announced that it will soon be adding buttons that let users buy the product featured in an image, sign up to a brand or seller's website, and install their mobile app.

Facebook bought Instagram for US$1billion (approx. RM3.5 billion) in 2012, but with predictions that this new move could easily generate between $1.3billion (approx. RM5 billion) and $2.1billion (approx. RM8billion) they might soon make their money back.

And not to be outdone, Pinterest has also launched a buy option, where users can buy directly from pins.

It's clear the Internet is becoming an even more dangerous place for us shopaholics.
