Haider Ackermann admitted that he has a pile of ideas that he keeps aside because he can't use them for ready-to-wear. However, he isn't going to let those ideas go to waste and has it all mapped out.

Revealing plans to open more stores, Columbian-born Haider also said, "Another thing I would love to explore is haute couture. I know where I'd do it, the music, what it would look like. I don't forget these things – they haunt me every night."

Haider, who designs for both womenswear and menswear has been the subject of rumours regarding taking over the helm at major fashion houses, including Maison Martin Margiela, Dior, and Chanel.

"My name was placed with so many houses – it felt like I had many lovers. At a certain point it was annoying as it was disrespectful to other people," he told the South China Morning Post.

The self-professed egocentric is clearly a force to be reckoned with, but even with his big ambitions, he has humble expectations for the future.

"I won't be remembered," he said. "We have amazing designers like Cristobal Balenciaga, Coco Chanel, Madame Grès –  those are people to remember."
