H&M to open in Kedah and Ipoh this autumn

Two more stores will be added to the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia

[Updated 25 September 2015] The H&M store at Aman Central, Kedah will open on Thursday, 1 October.


H&M will be opening a new store each in Kedah and Perak later this year. The two new locations are at Alor Setar's Aman Central and at Ipoh's Aeon Klebang, with retail spaces of 22,000 and 19,000 square feet respectively. Both shopping complexes have not yet opened.

"We are excited about the market potential in these new states," Fredrik Famm, H&M Country Manager of South East Asia said in a statement. "We have only been in the Malaysian market for less than four years and have experienced incredible growth and success. We hope that these new stores will become the top fashion destination for shoppers in Kedah and Ipoh."

H&M already has 17 stores in the whole of Malaysia, most of which are located in the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor region. There has yet to be store opening dates for the new installations, but stay tuned for updates.
