Gucci releases dreamy new image of Florence Welch
The British singer continues to mesmerise as the brand's timepieces and jewellery ambassador
The Gucci and Florence Welch partnership only gets better and better. The Italian fashion house released a new photo of its timepieces and jewellery ambassador wearing pieces from the new collection. Florence embodies the quirkiness of Alessandro Michele's creative direction so well, we want to wear everything she's wearing (and dye our hair red and lie on a couch with nonchalance) just so we can be half as charming as she is.
The singer's style is changing and she admitted to The Telegaph that she's now more willing to be a bit more colourful, thanks to Alessandro, who has been dressing her for her How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful tour.
Florence said that the designs "started very stripped back and streamlined, with a white suit – then these coloured shirts with big sleeves were introduced. It's like I could only hold down my inner maximalist for so long! I think now that I'm finally ready to embrace brighter colour."
As it turns out, had it not been for Florence and Alessandro's chemistry, her partnership with Gucci might not have even happened.
"I haven't really been an ambassador for something before, and to be honest I don't think that it's something that I would have even considered had it not been for Alessandro," she said in another new interview.
We're glad it all worked out, or we wouldn't have these photos to gawk about, either.
At a press conference in London to show the new Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry collection, @florence Welch was interviewed by @derekblasberg. The musician from #FlorenceandtheMachine wore a #GucciPreFall16 Herbarium printed velvet suit, the G-Timeless watch featuring an eclectic mix of bees, a heart and stars and a mix of rings in 18kt yellow and pink gold with precious stones. #AlessandroMichele #GucciJewelry #GucciTimepieces
